At Family Dental Care of Fort Smith you and your family can expect to be treated with compassion and care. Our staff consists of highly educated dentists that can assist with practically all of your needs. We aim to offer a diverse practice that contains every specialist and cares for all dental needs in a single location.
Our Practice
Family Dental Care of Fort Smith has nurtured a long residence in the River Valley. Started in 1979 by Dr. Saviers, Dr. Sparkman purchased the practice in 2019 and is proud to continue the incredible legacy! Dr. Sparkman continues to push this tenured practice to the forefront of modern dentistry.
Family Dental Care of Fort Smith has two sister locations also owned by
Dr. Sparkman: Roland Family Dental and Riley Farm Dental. A native to the River Valley, Dr. Sparkman has been practicing in both Oklahoma and Arkansas for 8 years. These locations offer the same care and practices as our Fort Smith team!

Brogen Lopez, DDS
Dentist
Brogan Lopez grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, before attending the University of Arkansas where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He next graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2019 before moving to the River Valley to begin his dental career. Dr. Lopez is a board certified dentist and a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Lopez is newly married to Drennan, a Fort Smith native. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, officiating baseball, and cheering on the Hogs.
James Saviers, DDS
Dentist
Born in Texas, Dr. Saviers moved to Fort Smith AR at the age of 3. Dr. Saviers was the student body president of Southside High. He graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1975 with a Bachelor's of Science in Zoology. In 1978, he graduated with his DDS from the University of Tennessee's College of Dentistry as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the Dean Honorary Odontological Society. In 1979, he returned to Fort Smith to open his practice: Family Dental Care of Fort Smith. He and his wife Barbara have three kids; James II, Kelly Ann, and Robert; and two grandkids; George and Harris.
Dr. Saviers continues to be a critical member of the Fort Smith community, sitting on the advisory board for the following: First United Methodist Church, Salvation Army, Fort Smith Downtown Rotary Club, Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club, River Valley Dental Association, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, and Northwest District Dental Association.
A Sequoyah County native, Dr. Beau Sparkman graduated from Muldrow High School and then earned his Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Pre-Medicine from Sterling College. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s College of Dentistry in 2011 and immediately returned to the River Valley area to begin practicing dentistry. In addition to practicing general dentistry for children and adults, he also provides orthodontic (Braces, Invisalign & Myobrace) services and sleep apnea services. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, the Fort Smith Dental Association, the American Orthodontic Society, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Sparkman has been married to Paola for 13 years and they have two children: Elizabeth & Lucas. When not at the office, Dr. Sparkman enjoys spending time with his family. He volunteers at TheBOD.church on Sundays and resides on the board. When he has free time he likes to golf, fish, and cheer on his Sooners and Thunder teams.

Belinda Owens

Belinda has lived in multiple places overseas as a child, with her father retiring from the Air Force after serving 33 years. In her spare time she loves to travel with her husband Gerald and spend time with all of the family. They have 2 children/adults: Shane and Haley. They are both married and reside with their spouses in Greenwood as well. Belinda is also a proud Grandparent/”Nana” to 4 Grandson’s, Tegan, Langston, Harrison and Beau.
Cindy Saulsberry
RDH
Cindy is originally from Iowa, where she earned her degree in dental hygiene. She has lived and practiced hygiene in Fort Smith for nearly a decade.
Cindy and her family attened Community Bible Church and enjoy spending time outdoors. Cindy is an Air Force veteran, played collegiate volleyball, and ran a full marathon for her 30th birthday!
Sam grew up in Sallisaw, OK and graduated from Sallisaw High School. He attended Carl Albert State College and Northeastern State University. He has an Associates Degree in Pre-Elementary Education and an Associates Degree in Health and Physical Education and Recreation. He and his beautiful wife, Marlena, have 3 amazing kids: Jazlynn, Jaxon, and Brady! If there is one thing Sam has learn through life, it is that God is good all the time!

Jennifer Reese
Office Manager
Jennifer graduated from Muldrow High School and has lived in the area for 31 years. She has been a dental assistant for 19 years. She has 6 years of experience being an orthodontic assistant and she was the office manager of an orthodontic office for 2 1⁄2 years. She has been married for 20 years and has three daughters: Makayla, Morgan, & Brandie. Her family has a small farm with chickens, & horses.
Yesenia Rosas
RDH
Yesenia is originally from Santa Maria, California and is bilingual in Spanish and English. She married her high school sweetheart, Alex, in 2005. They have two kids: Jonathan and Sofia. She obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Assisting in 2007. She attended UAFS and graduated in 2013 with her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She graduated at the top of her class and was the recipient of the Dental Hygiene Golden Scaler Award.
Holly Goodwin
RDA/Treatment Coordinator
Holly was born and raised in a little community called Provo, Arkansas. She is married to a wonderful soldier named Will. They have 2 beautiful girls: Ashlynn and Maci. They moved to Van Buren from Anchorage Alaska in 2016. Holly attended Vista College in Ft. Smith and graduated from the Dental Assisting program in 2017. She is passionate about what she does, and loves to help people restore their beautiful smile.
Paola was born in Honduras. She attended Sterling College in Kansas for her undergraduate studies where she met Beau Sparkman and they got married after college. She obtained her Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. She does the bookkeeping and other behind the scene tasks for the dental offices. She loves spending her time with family and watching the kids play soccer.
